Explain each statement and then relate it to the story.  Except for #1, #3 and #6, all the statements are themes from chapters 12 to 16.  Number 6 is a Regents type question – explaining the author’s purpose.  (Sidebar- what is the purpose of the hyphen?- Another Regents type question.)

Copy all the questions and rate them according to level of difficulty; one being the easiest, and nine being the most difficult.
